Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators on The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winning talk show), returned in August for the 22nd episode. Her true love in life was writing and she received an Emmy. In addition, she won an Emmy for hosting, and an award-winning television talkshow. Her background in news has helped her transition into The Talk, which examines current events and issues through the eyes by five women hosts.Chen Moonves hosted the co-hosted version of CBS News' weekday morning broadcast The Early Show from 2002 until 2010. Before that, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor, and also the news anchor for The Early Show. Following 9/11, she traveled to Cairo for an informative and fascinating interview. Prior to joining CBS News from 1995 Chen Moonves had been as a reporter at WDTN TV Dayton. When she was finishing her last semester at university, she worked as an assistant at ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and served as producer for ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news channel). She began her career as an assistant for ABC News, working on the late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still among Moonves' journalistic idols.
